vide ihat the Board of Trustees in cities of the sixth class shall
designate voting precincts and polling places; shall fix the time

WHEREAS, a General 'Municipal Election Is to be held in the
City of Lodi on MONDAY, APRIL 12th, 1920„ therefore be It
RE -SOLVED, that for tne purpose of said General Election

I'MREAS, a nap of a subdivision of land entitled STURLA
SCHOOL ADDITION .as been pre2ented to this Board; and

subdivision conform with the lines of adjoining streets and prop—
erties; and
W9ERFAs, the arproval of said map and the acceptance of the
streets and alleys delineated therein has been recommended by the
City E-ndisleer;
RESOLVED, that the above nared nap and subdivision: be and'. is
hereby approved a -.-.d the offer of the owners of the land designated
in tl_is reap to dedicate to the City of Lodi for public use the
.streets and alleys shown. in the .same be and is hereby accepted;
and that the President of this Board be and is hereby authorized
to endorse on this map such approval and acceptance.

WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with this boardPr0—
p,osing :,y initiative proceedings an ordinance providing that each
employee of the City of Lodi shall receive for his services 44.00
per day; such compensation to be paid out of the general fund of
....e City of Lodi; and
WHEREAS, it appears from. the statzment of the Clerk that
he certifiad to names on said petition_ of persons who had not reg
catered since the lst day of January, 1920, and said names are
necessary to make up the requisite number of qualified electors
on said petition; and
WHEREAS, it appears further from an examination of said
petition that the date each signer affixed his name to said peti—
tion is o7:dtted; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Board does hereby Find that said peti—
tion is insufficient; and the Clerk is hereby instructed to no—
tify ti:e proposers of said ordinance of the Board's action to the
end that they may remedy the defects therein if so advised.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote.
Ayes: Trustees Hale, Montgomery, Cross, Morehead and Black.
Noes: None.
