City of Lodi, would be for the best interests of the City of Lodi
therefore be It,
RESOLVED, That the land offered is desirable and necessary fur
the use of the City of Lodi; the price, Seven Hundred Dollars (;700),
1F just and reasonable; and there is hereby appropriated and set apart
fror moneys now In the general fund of the treasury of -the -City of Lodi
the qU7r Of 8700 for such purchase, the same to be raid upon.a claim
regularly filed and approved by the finance cc-nm.ittee of the -Board of
Trustees, upon the delivery to the City of Lodi of a good and suffi-
cient deed - of conveyance.
Trustee Keeney moved, seconded by Trustee Folendorf-, the adop-
tion of the above resolution. The motion was carried by the affirma-
tive votes of Trustees Hale, Black, Keeney, Deaver and Folendorf.
RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, The Chamber of Commerce of Northern San Joaquin County,
an organization of citizens of Lodi- and vicinity, formed for the pur-
pose of nromoting the welfare of this city and the surrounding country,
has asked the Board of Trustees for an appropriation from the city
treasury to assist In Its work; be it
RESOLVED, That the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi does
hereby endorse and commend the good work that has been done by the
above named organization;
That we feel the thanks of this Board and the entire community
should be extended to the members thereof through whose efforts Lodi
and northern San Joaquin County has been advertised to the world as a
live and prosperous commftnity, a good olace to live and enjoy all mod-
ern, advanitagea;-
- That the sum of *300 is hereby appropriated from the general
fund of the city treasury to assist the Chamber of Commerce in carry-
ing on the work of promotion and i-7provement In this locality.
Trustee Folendorf moved, seconded by Trustee Black, the adopt-

The amounts credited to the various funds by the City Treasur-
er order of the City Clerk, being 4177.22 over In the Library

55?.91 over In the Bond Interest and Redemption Fund and the
sum of these two items, 9736.13, short In the General Fund; there-
fore be it
RESOLVED, By the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi that
the City -Treasurer be, and he is hereby directed to transfer the sum
of 9177.22 from the Library Fund to the General Fund and *558.91 from
t-ne 7or.d.Interest and Redemption Fund to the General Fund; the City
Clem and the City Treasurer to make the nec?ssary entries in their
acc,)unts and the reasons therefor.
Trustee Folendorf moved the adoption of the above resolution
as r d.. Seconded by Trustee Keeney. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes -Trustees Hale, Black, Keeney, Deaver and Folendorf.
A resolution having for Its purpose the submission of a pro-
-ocsed _,Tunjcjpal swimming tank to a vote of the people at the muni-
cipal April 10, 1916, was, upon motion of Trustee. Keeney,
seconded by Trustee Black, laid on the table till the next meeting
Of t}- Board.

corrlora+ions," provides that cities of the sixth class shall, on the

nicinal elections in such cities; tne-refore be It

notice according to law of a General Municipal Election to be held
in and for said City of Lodi on Monday, the 10th day of April,1916.

That for the purpose of said election Lodi No. 1 Precinct and
Lodi No. 5 Precinct shall be and constitute Consolidated Election
Precinct No. 1.
That Lodi No. 2 Precinct and Lodi No. 3 Precinct shall be and
constitute Consolidated Electior. Precinct No. 2.
That Lodi No. 6 Precinct and Lodi No. 7 Precinct •shall be and
constitute Consolidated Election Precinct No. 3.
.That Lodi No. 4 Precinct and Lodi No.. $ Precinct shell be and
constitute Consolidated Election_ Precinct. No. 4.
That the polling place in Consolidated Election Precinct No.1
shall be the County Building, at 215 Nortll Sacramento street, between
1 Locust and Lockeford streets.
That the polling place in Consolidated Election Precinct No. 2
shall be Frierson Grammar School, Hutchins street, between Pine and
Elm streets.
That the polling place in Consolidated Election Precinct No. 3
shall be Steacy Building, Yo. 10 South Jain street, betwoen Pine and
Oak streets.
That the polling place in Consolidated Election Precinct No. 4
shall be Pioneer Fruit Shed, East Lodi Avenue, between Sacramento
street and Main street.
That the officers of election in Consolidated Election Pre-
cinct No. 1 shall be:
Inspectors: John F. Stein and W. A. Schwimley.
Judges: Robert Adams and Chas. A. Pratt.
Clerks: Mrs. J. L. Declusin and Mrs. Bertha Abshire.
That the officirs of election in Consolidated Election Precinct No.
2 shall be:
Inspectors: John Willms and J. C. Ferguson.
Judges: C. C. Garner and Alida I. whyers.
Clerks: Frank F. Titus and G. w. Dewey.
That the officers of election in Consolidated Election Pre-
cinct ?v*o. 3 shall be:
Inspectors: Leland Woodson and Mrs. Glen Wright.
Judges: J. w. Crose and Mrs. Dora Stanfield.
Clerks: Mrs. F. Luella Mayginnes and miss Carrie Ellis.
That the officers of election in Consolidated Flection Pre-
cinct No. 4 shall be:
Inspectors: F. J. Beaty and G. E. Henton.
Judges: D. W. Gouldy and W. N. Moss.
Clerks: Mrs. Cora J. Raines and A. G. Corson.
The above resolution was read and upon motion of Trustee
Keeney, seconded by Trustee Fol�ndorf, was adopted by the following
vote: Ayes -Hale, Black, Keeney, 'leaver and Folendorf.'Noes-Alone.
A communication was read from the State Compensation Insurance
Fund advising the City that it should file "EmployersI Unlimited Writ-
ten Acceptance of Compensation Provisions of Workmens', Compensation,
Insurance and Safety Act." The letter was accompanied by a form for
such acceptance which, upon motion of Trustee Keeney, seconded by
Trustee Black, the President of the Board was authorized to sign upon
behalf of the City.
