The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in ran las session: at 8 o'clock p.m., there beim present Trustees Black, hale, Keeney, Cro3e and 'Sontgoriery. Thurmond, addition to dwelling, 404 East Elm street. The Lodi Canning Company asked for additional sewer facili- ties at their plant on Tokay street. Action was deferred to be. taken up at an adjourned sweeting to be held Wednesday, February 19th. W. H. Lorenz reported that property owners on North School street had purchased 100 European Sycamore trees to be planted on that street and requested the city to plant and care for the same.. The natter was placed in the hands of the street superintende= and City En inner and T. H. Lorenz was requested to assist. S. W. Hopkins requested the Board to order sidewalks laid in front of several properties on South Sacramento street. The Board in- structed Superintendent of Streets to serve notice on owners of said propert1e3 to proceed with the work within thirty days. Th? City ClerV s report for the quarter ending December 31st, 1918, was read and ordered filed. Petitions of property owners were presented and filed asking for the improvement of the following streets and alleys: Alley run- ning from School to Church, between Pine and Oak; Sacramento street from South line of Lockeford Street to North City Limits; East Lodi Avenue from 'Pest line of South Sacramento street to Cherokee Lane. The following resolution was introduced and adopted by unani- mous vote of the Board: RESOLUTION. RESOLVED, That the City Engineer be, and he is hereby, di- rected to prepare plans and specifications for the following im- provement, to -wit.: 1. For the grading and paving of, and the construction of curbs a_nd gutters on Lee Avenue, from the -Northerly line of Lodi Avenue to the Southerly line of Locust street. 2. For the grading and paving of, and the construction of curbs and gutters on Locust street from the easterly line of Hutch- ins street to the westerly line of Cherokee Lane. 3. For the grading and paving of the alley running east and west through the block bounded by Lee Avenue, Pine, Elm and Hutchins streets.
