Pursuant to adjournment of January 21st the Board of Trustees
of the City 0-f Lodi convened at 8:00 p.m. There were present Trustees
-'ale, Black and Keeney. Trustees Deaver and Polendorf absent. President
of the Board Hale in the chair.
Minutes of the previous regular meeting of January 21st were
read and approved.
The following building pernits were granted,.
temporary building to house machinery at the Lodi
winery, South Sacramento street.
W. P. Lancaster, dwelling on lot 43, Schroeder Tract.
Y. H. Buck Company, addition to their fruit shed on North Main
street.
The following resolution providing for the purchase of a strip
of land from Mrs. Mary Meehl-was Introduced:

I ESOLUTION.
MVIRY L=..T—T has offered to sell to the City of Lodi,
a s1 -.rip of land, not exceeding ten feet in width, on the west side of
her lot, situated at the intersection of Lockeford and School Streets,
of said city, to be used for road purposes, for the sum of 0300.00,and
WIERFAS, it is for the best Interest of the said City of Lodi
to purchase said strip of land, for the purpose aforesaid,
HEREFORE, RESOLVED, that said City of Lodi, purchase said
strip of land and upon re_-elving a deed therefor, from said 1_1kRY ==,
conveying the same to the said City of Lodi, with good, merchantable
title, that the sum of $300-00 be paid to her, from the general fund.
Trustee Keeney, moved, seconded by Trustee Black, the adopt-
ion of the above resolution as read. The motion carried by the follow-

RESOLUTION ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
4 RESOLVED, that. the -clans and specifications for the following
wor-w, to be done and improvement to be made in,the City of Lodi, to -wit:
'Itat Yorth School Street from the North line Of West 'Elm Street
tc, the City limits of the said City of Lodi, on the North, and the alley
running through the cen.er of Block Fourteen (14) from the West line of
North orth Sacramento Street to the East line of North School Street as,de-
lineated and so designated upon the official map of the said City, of
Lodi, approved by the Board of Trustees of said City, on the 20th day of
January, A.D.1913, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City of Lodi,
BE 1!2ROVED:
(1) By grading the roadway and the curb and gutter spaces of
North School Street from the North line of West Elm Street to the City
limits or, the North;
(2) By paving the roadway between the gutter lines from the
North line of West Elm Street to the _,�orth line of West Lockeford Street
with a pavement consisting of one inch of Sheet asphalt wearing surface,
laid on a rydraulic concrete base four (L,,) inches in thickness-;
(3) By paving- the roadway between the curb lines from the
Yorth line of West Lockeford Street to the City limits on the North
with a pavement consisting 01' hydraulic concrete four.(4) inches In
thickness;.
(4) By constructing hydraulic curbs lntrgral with pavement on
each side of the same for the entire length of the pirtions of said
street to be improved;
(5) By grading the alley running 'through the center of block
ourtee_,, (1L) from the west line of North Sacramento Street to the East
line of Iiorth School Street between the pro -.arty lines;
(6) By paving the above described alley, between the property
lines with a pavement consisting of one Inch of Sheet Asphalt wearing
surface, laid on a hydraulic concrete base four (4) inches in thickness,
as prepared by the Engineer of said City of Lodi and submitted this 29th
day of January, 1918, be, and the same are hereby adopted as and for the
plans and specifications for doirg said work.
Trustee_ Keeney moved, seconded by Trustee Black, the adoption of the
foregoing resolution as read. The notion was carried by the following
