This regalar meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Lodi was called to order at 8 o'clock P.M. on the above
date by President J,W.Shattuck; Trustees Fale,Hickok,Elettler,
Spooner and Shattuck present; none absent.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of January
ath.,1924 were read and approved as read.
A cornitee from the Lafayette Farm Bureau appeared before
the Board and asked that the meat inspection ordinance now in
force be so modified that meat for personal consumption of the
depositor could be kept in the vaults of the Lodi Ice and Cold
Storage Company without inspection.
Yr J. E. Garri5—an and Dr. IIL'.J.Seeley of the County Health
Board arg-ued in support of the ordinance as enacted, stating
that any modification along the lines suEgested would per-
mit illegal sales of contaminated meats.
On motion of Trustee Spooner, seconded by Trustee Hickok,
a meeting of representatives of the Farm Bureau with officers
of San Joa.Tdin Local Health Ibis ;rich ;.as arranged to be held
before the Board at such a time as md, be convenient to both,
the to notify all parties of the date decided upon.
(I.W.Le 'Yo -in appeared in protest against the location of
a garage erected by liellie Eaton on Hutchins 6treet near Pine
Street and at the order of the Board, the Clerk was instruct-
ed to notify the owner to move the building back to the line
of other buildings on the lot.
Quarterly reports of the City Treasurer and Clerk were
submitted, read and ordered filed.
In the matter of the improvement of that portion of Cent-
ral Avenue south of Vine Street—
A diagram delineating the lands to be assessed for the
improvement contemplated having- been prepared and submitted
by the City Engineer, the same was a�+proved and adopted by
the passage of Resolution No. 441 by the following vote: -
AYES: Trustees, iiickok, tlettler,Hale, Spooner, Shattuck.
NOES: Trustees, None, ABSENT: Trustees, None.
