of Intention No. 474 and the sante being seconded by Trustee
Roach, said Resolution of Intention was passed and adopted by
the following vote:

RESOLV"L'D, That public interest and convenience require,
and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees and`City' Coun-
cil of the Citv of Lodi to order the following work to be done
in said City; to -wit:
That a public street shall be opened between the north
line of Lockeford Street, in said City, and the south line of
Daisy Avenue, in said City, oven across and u-oon that certain
piece of land situated in said City and described as follows:
Co-mencing at a point on the north line of Lockeford
Street, in the City of Lodi, California.. distant 37 feet east of
the gest line of Section One, To:vnehip 3 North Range 6 East,
?'.D.B.� V,, and running, thence north and parallel with the
vest line of said Section to a point on the south line of Daisy
Avenue; thence ,rest and along te south line of said Daisy Avenue
93 feet to a point on the same- thence South and parallel with
the ,,,est line of said section $88.1 feet to a point on the
north line of said Lockeford Street; thence easterly and along
the north line of Lockeford Street 93.55 feet to the point of
beginning.
Excepting that part of said strip of land which lies
gait: in the right -of -way- of the San Jeaquin ZZ Sierra. Nevada
Railroad, bein- the rail- ay line running from Lodi to ;Mood -
bridge in the bounty of San Joaquin.
The lana necessary to be taken therefor is particularly
bounded and described as follows, to -crit:
Co=mencir.gg at a point on the north line of Lockeford
Street, in the Ci ET of Lodi, California., distant 37 feet east
of the rest line of Section One, Townshipt 3 North, Ragge 6
East, '-.D.B, Y., and running thence north and parallel with the
;vest line of said Section 995 feet to a point on the south line
of Daisy Avenue; thence west and laong the south line of said
Daisy Avenue 93 feet to a point on the same thence south and
parallel to the west line of said section 98,1 feet to a ooint
on the north line of Lockeford Street; thence easterly and along
the north line of said Lockeford Street 93,55 feet to the point
of beginning, except that part of said laxed lying within said
railroad right-of-way,

be affected and benefitted by said work and improvement, and
— to be assessed to pay the damages, cost, and expebzes thereof
are as follows:
All that certain district and lands lyirgywithi.n the
corporate limits of said City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin,
State of California, and particularly described as follows:-
Co-nencing for the same at the intersection of the
center line of Lincoln Avenue with the south line of Forrest
Avenue, (fon erly+7oodbrid,,e Avenue), in the City of Lodi,
California, and running thence south on and along said center
line and its southerly production to the intersection of said
production with the north line of Lockeford Street- thence
westerly on and alonr�.7, the north line of Lockeford Street to
its intersection writH the wrest boundary of the coroorate
limits of -said City: thence north on and along said __west__.--
boundary line to its intersection with the south line -of Forrest
- _ Avenue; thence east on and along said south line of Forrest Ave-
nue to the point of beginning.
Provided, nevert,.eless, that the railway line, and rail-
way right of way, streets, avenues and alleys situated within
sand district shall be omitted from any assessment made or lev-
iad to pay the da.TM es cost and expenses of the above mentioned
work and improve -nen , the said streets avenues and alleys bel-
one;ing to said City, and being in use for the performance of a
public function, to -wit, in use as public streets, avenues and
alleys. :
The Lodi stews is hereby designated as,a.tri-Weekly news -
3 published and circulated in said Cit in which the Street
uperintendent s notice of the passage of his resolution shall
be published, there being no daily newsvaper and no weekly news-
'CPam—.r and no semi-weekly newspaper printed or published in said
ity, and it is hereby ordered that -said Superintendent's notice
be- published in the newspaper so de'si�ted, three times a. week
for at least four successive weeks, and said Street Superintendent
shall post said notice as required by law.

ing corsmittee .vere allowed anA ordered paid on.motion of Trustee
Hale. seconded by Trustee Shattuck.
Suparintendent J.A.Henning was directed to install a
l2 inch discharge pipe and valve therefor at the "i_unicipal
Baths so that ;pater could be discharged into the storm sewer
on Stockton Street.
No further business appearing, the Board adjourned at
9.25 P.V. on motion of Trustee Hale.
