The City Engineer raving preoared the assessment diagram in the matter of "he impro,,ement, of Chtxch Street, 1'rustee Crose moved the adoption of the same and the diagram was adopted as the assessment diagram for the assessment of Church Street by the passage of Resolution Uo. 212 by the following -,ote:- AYES: Trustees, Crose, Hickok, Hale, "ontgomery. Absent, Trustee Rich. Plans and srec-ifioations for the conteml-lated improvement on Central _'venue were then adcDtad by the passage of Resolution No. 214 by the following vote:- AYF_S. Trustees, Crose, Hickok, Hale, Montgomery. NOES: -Trustees, None. Absent, Trustee _Loh.. Trustee Hickok then mored the adoption of Resolution of Intentlon. No. 42, providing for the improvement of Central Avenue and the same was passed and adopted by the following vote:- AYE,S: Trustees, Hickok, Crose, Hale, Llontgomery. =TOTS. -rustees, None. Absent, Trustee, Rich. A communication from !I. Dayton re.---arding seviage in the Canal as read and it apearing that remedy ,-;as underway, no action ,.as taken. A petition in rrOte3t against conditions at the plant of the Saoraz7�anto Gas Company -.-.as referred to the Board of Heatlk The contractors, Clark & Henery Construction Company, app- lied by letter with consent of bondsman for extension of time in which to complete the work ordered on Stockton, Church, and Pleas- ant and they were granted an extension of ninety days by the passage of Resolution No. 215 by the fol-loixIng -ote:- A'.ri'S; Trustees, Crose, Hickok, Hale , '.ont-omery. A petition as' -ring the improvement of Daisy Avenue -:.as presented and the engineer ordered to prepare -plans and specif- ications therefore as it a-npeared on certificate of the Clerk that more than 500 of the property owners had signed. 't';.J.Robir-son Jr. a-ldressed the board in rezard to street signs and was informed- that the same would be erected immediately. Nineteen building permits grossing $36,115.00 were granted and the Standard Oil Company allowed to in -stall sidewalk tanks at their new stations.. I'lembers of the Board engaged in a general discussion of the proper place to keen the fire arparatus out no action seas taken. The Clerk .;as instructed to ask the Central California Tract- ion Company to make the standing time of cars at Sacramento and Elm Streets the minimum as traffic aas congested at this point. On motion of Trustee Hickok, seconded by Trustee Hale, the City Superintendent .*,ras instructed to pre -pare plans and specificat- ions for a storage shed, and the clerk was instructed to call for bids for its erection. Superintendent Hen-ning ,,,as given full., power in the matter of the reduction of trees on Church Street to 25 feet in order to a;comodate overhead wires.
