HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2016-218RESOLUTION NO. 2016-218 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH TELSTAR INSTRUMENTS, OF SACRAMENTO, FOR STORM STATION TELEMETRY UPGRADES, AND FURTHER APPROPRIATING FUNDS WHEREAS, Telstar Instruments entered into a Professional Services Agreement with the City of Lodi on July 17, 2015, for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and instrumentation maintenance; and WHEREAS, the City's storm drain infrastructure is expanding due to the increase in residential development, requiring a number of minor storm system improvements, including upgrades to hardware, software, and programming heeded to coordinate the storage, conveyance, and discharge of the City's expanding stormwater collection system; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No.1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Telstar Instruments, of Sacramento, for storm station telemetry upgrades in the amount of $98,975; and WHEREAS, staff further recommends that the City Council appropriate funds from Wastewater Capital in the amount of $98,975 for this project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No.1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Telstar Instruments, of Sacramento, California, for storm station telemetry upgrades in the amount of $98,975; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby appropriate funds in the amount of $98,975 for this project.
