A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY
COUNCIL APPROVING PURCHASE OF
TRANSIT FARE COLLECTION VAULT
EQUIPMENT FROM GFI GENFARE
WHEREAS, the City of Lodi received Proposition 1B funds from Transit Safety,
Security and Disaster Response Account (TSSSDRA) for automated fare box
equipment, and automated fare boxes have been installed on all the transit fleet
vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the next phase of the project is to install a stationary vault at the
north end of the dispatch building, providing a mechanism to securely transfer individual
fares from the buses to the vault and automatically separating coins and bills prior to the
counting process; and
WHEREAS, in September 2011, City Council adopted a resolution approving the
standardization of the GFI GenFare fare box equipment and waiving the formal bidding
process. The current fare boxes are only compatible with the GFI GenFare vault.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby
approve the purchase of transit fare collection vault equipment from GFI GenFare, of
Elk Grove, Illinois, in the amount of $41,083.41.
