Home My WebLink AboutResolutions - No. 2013-140RESOLUTION NO. 2013-140 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT FOR THE HAM LANE OVERLAY PROJECT, LODI AVENUE TO TURNER ROAD WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on July 17, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., for the Ham Lane Overlay Project, Lodi Avenue to Turner Road, described in the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council on June 19, 2013; and WHEREAS, said bids have been checked and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidder Bid Teichert Construction $1,028,646.00 George Reed, Inc. $1,077,645.00 Martin Brothers Construction $1,080,895.00 Knife River Construction $1,113,584.35 Biondi Paving & Engineering $1,116,387.00 Chester Bross Construction $1,184,208.00 B & M Builders, Inc. $1,319,257.45 WHEREAS, staff recommends awarding the contract for the Ham Lane Overlay Project, Lodi Avenue to Turner Road, to the low bidder, Teichert Construction, of Stockton, California, in the amount of $1,028,646; and WHEREAS, the lowest responsive bidder, Teichert Construction, has signed the required Local Hire forms and will conform to the requirements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby award the contract for the Ham Lane Overlay Project, Lodi Avenue to Turner Road, to the low bidder, Teichert Construction, of Stockton, California, in the amount of $1,028,646; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the contract.
