HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - July 7, 1999 E-09OF COUNCIL • • 4��FORa AGENDA TITLE: Accept Improvements Under Contract for Electric Utility Substructures, Highway 99 South of Kettleman Lane and Thurman Street West of Guild Avenue MEETING DATE: July 7, 1999 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the "Electric Utility Substructures, Highway 99 South of Kettleman Lane and Thurman Street West of Guild Avenue" contract and direct the City Engineer to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to Royal Electric Company, of Sacramento, on April 7, 1999, in the amount of $52,270.00. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was July 7, 1999, and the actual completion date was June 4, 1999. The final contract price was $56,231.20. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to adjustments in the contract quantities for trenching and conduit work to pay the contractor for the actual work performed.
