HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2011-93RESOLUTION NO. 2011-93 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGERTO EXECUTE FEDERAL SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL GRANT APPLICATION WHEREAS, the City of Lodi, in conjunction with the Lodi Unified School District, has been successful in receiving funds from the Safe Routes to School program, which is intended to improve and enhance the safety of pedestrian and bicycle facilities; and WHEREAS, staff recommends submitting an application, in cooperation with Lodi Unified School District, for environmental review, engineering, and construction costs for the installation of two solar -powered speed limit signs at Lois Borchardt Elementary School. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the submittal of a grant application in the amount of $30,000 for the Federal Safe Routes to School Program for the project listed above; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the grant application on behalf of the City of Lodi.
