HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2011-129RESOLUTION NO. 2011-129 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGERTO EXECUTE CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 WITH A. M. STEPHENS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC., FOR 2011 DISABLED ACCESS IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT WHEREAS, on July 20, 2011 , City Council awarded the 201 1 Disabled Access Improvements Project to A. M. Stephens Construction Company, Inc., of Lodi, in the amount of $59,572.30; and WHEREAS, this project is part of the City of Lodi's 2009 Community Development Block Grant Recovery (CDBG-R) allocation and consists of the modification of existing parking stalls for the purpose of constructing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant accessible parking stalls; and WHEREAS, the project cost ($71,000) is significantly lower than the allocated CDBG-R funds ($140,000) and staff recommends amending the contract to include Contract Change Order No.1 to install additional wheelchair ramp improvements within the Block Grant area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute Contract Change Order No. 1 with A. M. Stephens Construction Company, Inc., of Lodi, California, for the 2011 Disabled Access Improvements Project to install additional wheelchair ramp improvements within the Block Grant area in the amount of $64,278.
