May Teen of the Month
Leslie Holmes is a senior at Lodi High. Lesley is not only an excellent student but she is
involved in several activities. She is the project director for FBLA, which is a giant task,
especially this year since we are striving to become a Gold Seal Chapter. Lesley is also
working at the Hutchins Street Square Senior Center helping the senior citizens become
computer literate. She is active in her church as well as in several high school groups.
Besides all of the above she holds a job after school and on weekends at Taco Bell.
Lesley takes honors and AP classes in high school and earns excellent grades. Lesley
takes honors and AP classes in high school and earns excellent grades. She is a
personable, happy, easy-going young adult who is willing to assist people in a friendly
and helpful manner. Lesley is a very deserving candidate.
May Honorary Teen of the Month
Valiree Morris is in the tenth grade at Tokay High School. Valiree had become a friend
of Sabrina, before she died in the car accident. In December of last year, Valiree invited
Sabrina to Century's annual Singing Christmas Tree and she came. In one of the
performances, Sabrina was given the chance to invite Jesus Christ into her life, and as a
result, Sabrina is in heaven now. Also, because of Valiree's friendship wit her, the door
was opened for the funeral to be held at Century Assembly. Valiree is a faithful attendee
at our youth group. She sings and plays keyboard and is on the drama team at her church.
Valiree feels a call to full-time ministry when she graduates from high school and hopes
to one -day minister to the lost in Africa.
