Monday, June 17th., 1929.
This regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Lodi was called to order at 8.12 o'clock P.M. on the date and at
the place first above written, Councilmen Hale, Roach, Shattuck,
.7eihe and Spooner present, none absent. .
The minutes of the regular meeting of June 3rd.,1929 were
read, approved as read and so endorsed by the Mayor.
No persons appearing, the order of Public'Hearings was pas-
sed by unanimous consent.
The Clerk read a letter from the Secretary of Lodi Volunteer
!ire Department advising the Council of the results of the annual
elections in the Department. THe list of officers was not approved
at this time, the names being taken under advisement until the
next regular meeting.
The City Plumbing Inspector's report for the month of May
was received, read and ordered filed.
On notice from hiss Am L. Boynton, Librarian of Lodi Public
Library that time terms of office of Messrs George L. Meissner and
E. Gay Villiams would expire July lst.,1929, on motion of Council-
-man .Teihe Shattuck second, both gentlemen were reappointed for
the statutory term.
Lot Lachenmaier having made and delivered to the CityClerk
a deed to a parcel of land at the west end of Locust Stree, the
sane was accepted by the passage of the following: -
RESOLUTION NO. 581
71HE.'AS, Lot Lachennaier and Louisa Lachennaier, his wife,
have made and delivered to the City of Lodi a deed to a portion
of Lot 7 in Block 13 of Hutchins Addition to Lodi, the same to be
an extension of Locust Street westerly from the Jest line of the
Schroeder Tract.
AND +VHERr,AS, Section 1158 of the Civil Code of this State
requires that a certified copy of a resolution of acceptance be
attached to deeds conveying, real Aro erty to municipalities;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ci'f- Council for and on behalf of
the City of Lodi, hereby accepts the said deed to the said real
property and directs that a duly certified copy of this resolution
be attached thereto and the deed recorded in the office of the
County Recorder of San Joaquin County;
RESOLVED also, that the. lands in said deed so conveyed to
the City of Lodi, be, and the same are hereby dedicated to public
use as a public street or road, to be called and to be made a
part of Locust Street in the City of Lodi.
The foregoing Resolution No. 581 was passed and adopted by
the following vote: -
AYES: Councilmen, Shattuck, Weihe, Hale, Roach and Spooner.
NOES: None -
. ABM': None.
It appearing that the property of the Pioneer Fruit Comvany
had been erroneously described in the Assessment Roll for 1928 and
in the Delinquent List as published by the Tax Collector, correct-
ion of the same was authorized and directed by the passage of: -
RESOLUTION NO. 582.
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING CERTAIN CORRECTIONS IN THE ASSESS-
MENT ROLL FOR 1928 AND IN THE DELINQUENT TAX LIST AS RET-
URNED BY THE CITY TAX COLLECTOR '_.FAY 17, 1929.
SAS certain properties assessed to the Pioneer Fruit
Company were described as Lots 1,2,3 and 4, Block A, Subdivision
of Lot 72, Lodi Barnhart Tract;
