HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 560'q0 Council Ch fibers City Bal October l t.,1928 The City Council met in regular session at 8.15 o'clock on the date first above written, Councilmen Hale,'Rcaoh, Shattuck, Jeihe and Spooner present, none absent. The minutes of the regular meeting of September 17th. 1928 were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the Mayor. Mr. I. G. Krieger and Nelson Chevrolet Company presented informal proposals for the purchase by the City of a light truck for use of the Electrical Department; no action taken. A plat of 'rap B, Lodi '"emorial Lawn Cemetarr, having been recommended for approval by the ?resident and Secretary of the Planning^Cannission was approved by the passage of Resolution No. 560 by the followizt vote: - AYES: Councilmen .;eihe,Roach,Hale,Shattuck and Spooner. Reports of the Chief of Police and ?ounaaaster for the month of September were read and ordered filed likewise the report of the Chief and Secretary of the Lodi Volunteer Fire Department for the quarter ended September 3oth.;1928. A ca::munication advising the Council of certain exposed gear trains at the sewage disposal plant was read and the Clerk was directed to inform the Superintendent of the plant that. the Council desired that protective coverings be installed. Mr Herbert Horseley asked for a written -opinion of the City Attorney as to his right to use the roadway to. the City Dump Grounds. Cn motion of Councilman Jeihe, Sh.attuck second the Clerk :pas directed to cancel an old 'Dill held against the Premises at 417 J.":Ialnut Street for eater and light as there was -no possibility of collecting from the owner, who is nearly bankrupt or from H.A.Boese who in purred the bill as he cannot be tound. Two building permits for additions to existing dwellings were granted, the cost of same to be $240.00 Bills in the amount of $12,138.97 as aporoved by the Finance Committee were allowed and ordered paid on motion of Councilman .Iei__e, Roach second.
