M nday, April 23,1928.
This adjourned regalar meeting of the Cit Council of the
City of Lodi was called to order at 8.05 o'clock P.M. on the date
first above written, Councilmen uale,Roach,Shattuck, Veihe and
Spooner present.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Aril 15th. ,1928
were read, approved as read and sc endorsed by the Mayor.
The execution of an agreement with Southern Pacific Co.
for the crossing of California Street with the Woodbridge branch
railway line was authorized by the adoption of Resolution No.542
by the following vote: -
Ayes; Councilmen ;iale,Shattuck,Roach,:;eihe and Spooner
Noes, Councilmen, None. Absent, None.
1r, Ivan C. Satterlee of Davis-Fearce Company displayed
the plans for the additions to the Carnegie Library as approved
by tie Board of Library Trustees together with a rough draft of
the specifications. After some discussion, the plans and specif-
ications were adopted by the passage of Resolution No. 543
RESCLU"TION No. 54.3.
=PEAS, Davis -Pearce Company, the architects employed by
this City to prepare the plans and specifications necessary for
the consruction of certain additions to the Carnegie Library
have this evening -presented final drafts thereof;
-the- -
BD, IT RESOLVED, therefore that 'said plans and s}ecifications
be and the same are hereby adopted as the plans and specificat-
ions under which the contract shall be let and the buildir
constructed. The Navor and City Clerk are hereby directed o
endorse the approval of this Council u:on the plans.
ALSO, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be directed to
advertise in time, form and manner as required by law for the
reception of _:roposals for the general contract.
Resolution No. 543 was then passed and adopted by unanimous
vote.
Cn notion of Councilman Shattuck, :ieihe second, the Superin-
tendent of Public Utilities was directed to remove the present
golf course sprinklers in-Lawraece Park and install a system
•
with Thompson or equivalent heads such as now used in the City
Park, all work to be to the satisfaction of the City Council and
to be completed at once.
Cn motion of Councilman Shattuck, ieihe second, the City
Encireer was directed to prepare the plans necessary for re-
modeling of the sludge beds at the sewage disposal plant.
The acceptance of the appointment as temporary Fire Chief
by :r B.C.Dougfierty was read and ordered filed.
Cn motion of Councilman :ieihe, the City Council adjourned
at 9.10 o'clock ?.:.t.
