The Public Works Department has already secured $929,565 in CMAQ funds and $280,844 in San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District funds (local match) for the purchase of three CNG buses. The $700,000 is needed to complete the purchase of three additional buses for the Grapel-ine. Also, staff is currently researching other projects for CMAQ funding, such as Lower Sacramento Road. A signal may be called for at Lower Sacramento Road and Tokay Street, and traffic signal coordination may be part of the project as well as other traffic signal upgrades. FUNDING: Not applicable.
