HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 1101In the City Council City of Lodi Lodi, California RESOLUTION NO. 1101 RESOLUTION DIRECTING APPLICATION TO BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY FOR CANCELLATION OF TAXES. WHEREAS, this City is now the owner of a certain parcel of land with improvements thereon described in a deed from Charles Funk and wife to City of Lodi Liated August 29, 1914 and recorded August 30, 1911.1 in 0. k. 753/143 San Joaquin County Records as: "The West 80 Feet of Lot 14. of Live Oak Colony No. 1 ********** save and except right of way for State hi hway . *** ****. also except portion included within Pope Avenue along the South Line of Said Lot 11.1" AND, WhEREAS, the above described real property to- gether with other real property was assessed by the County of San Joaquin for the tax year 1914-L.2 as one parcel, and, WHEREAS, subsequent to said assessment and in accordance with Sections 2803 et seq., of' the Revenue and Taxation Code of this State, the assessment above mentioned was segregated as to present ownership into three parcels, one of which i s the parcel first herein mentioned and a separate valuation vl ced thereon and the taxes then a lien, to -wit, the taxes of 19}1-1}2 segregated and allotted to each of said three parcels, that now owned by the City of Lodi beim apportioned, an assessed valuation of 11:510.00 and a tax of 5;16.68, and, WHEREAS, said real property being now owned by the City of Lodi, a municipal corporation is not subject to tax sale, therefore, bE 1T REECLVED, that Glenn West, Uiby Attorney of this City be, and he i s hereby authorized, empowered and directed to make application to the Board of Supervisors of San Joaquin County for an order on the County Auditor cancelling all San Joaquin County taxes now a lien against the said parcel of land and improvements, thereon in the amount of $16.68 as aforesaid, all in accordance with section x986 (e) of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California. 0 Certified to be a full, true End correct copy of Resolution No. 1101 of the City Council of the City of Lodi as passed and adopted in ad- journed regular. meeting of said City Council held Wednesday, November 26, 1914.1 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen, Bull, Riggs, Rinn, ileihe 8c Steele (14uyor) NOES: Councilmen, None.
