City Fall, Lodi, Califoria, -November 3, 1919.
In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the city of
Lodi, held this date, there were present Trustees B1ack,Crose and
wont.roiaery. Absent Trustees Hale and Morehead.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read aiu approved.
In response to Notice Inviting sealed Proposals under -Reso-
lution of Intention No. 26, providing for the pavi^.o of South School
stroat, bids were received from Clark & 111enery Construction Compary

i RESOLUTION OF AWARD.
WREMAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi, did, in
open session, or. the 3rd day of November, A.D. 1919, publicly open,
examine an,! declare all sealed proposals Or bids .'Dr doing certain
streit in Said city, under and In. pursuance 0f fine uIrprove-
nent Act of 1911," the ^mimes of `y:: -i streets -and hig-t1w.ys proposed to
be irp:c<r;d and the location ardcharacter of said proposed work ba -
i .o aascribed in the Resolution of Intention rro. 26, of said Board
of Trustees, adopted September 22nd, 1919, which Resolution of Ir.-
t_ntion is hereby expressly referred to for further particulars;
RES•CL'JED, that the said Board of Trustees hereby reject all
of said proposals or bids except that next herein mentioned, and here-
by awards the contra --t for doing sail. pork and iwprOvement to the
lowest, r=sponalble bidder, to -wit:- CLARK & HEIT1:RF CONSTRUCTION COM-
PAITf, at the prices named in its bid. The City Cleric is hereby di-
rected to post Notice of this award conspicuously for five days, on
or near the Council Cha::oer door of this Board of Trustees and also
publis said notice three times in "THE LODI SEYTMMO , a tri -,meekly
newspaper fuolished a ..: circulates in said city, and hereby desig-
nated for that purpose by said Board, said newspaper being the
official newspaper of said City of Lodi.
Upon motion of Trustees Crose, seconded by Trustee Montgom-
ery,tha foredo ng Resolution of Award eras adopted by the following
Vote:
Ayes: Trurtees Crose, cont -o ery and Black.
Noes: ?lone.
Absent: Trustees Hale and ;forehead.
RESOLUTION NO. 68.
Resolution approvirro diagram showinZ district affected and
benefitted by the improvement of ffa1~ut Street and to be aSseSSe3 for

RESOLVED, that the diagram prepared and submitted by L.F.
Barzellotti, City Qhowir_g the district affected and bene-
fitted by the izprovement of, a.^_'.j. to be asse:azed for t_^.e cost and
expenses of the Improvement of Walnut Street, ( as described in Res-
olution, of Intention No. 2L of the Boar: of Trustees of the City of
Lodi, Hasse= July 21st, 1919,)be and the same isrereby approved,
and th-2 City Clerk is hereby directed to endorse said approval on
said diag:au and deliver t.e same to the Super Int en:et of Streets.
The foregoing Reoolution No. 6S was adopted by the follow-
ing Vote:
Ayes: Trustees Crose, :Montgomery and Black.

Lodi iaethodist Episcopal Church was granted permission to
move t. e church parsonage :roe 109 W. Oak St. to the rear of the new
church on Sout:. Church Street.
R. _i. DeVirsey, for the '1. E Church, asked for permission
to remove certain 3'.?aae .rees from the front of the church property
on Oak and Church street$. Upon: m.otion perr..40310- ;vas wanted to
remove all the trees _^.,!cessary for th removal of the building from
109 Nest oaC street to the said lot.
