HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 1005In the City Council City of Lodi Lodi, California RESOLUTION NO. 1005 WHEREAS, on the 8th day of September, 1939, this City Council kxx received a petition asking that certain inhabited territory therein described be annexed to the City of Lodi and the City Clerk has filed his written report stating that all the signatures annexed to said petition are those of registered electors residing within said territory, the same constituting more than one fourth of the total registration therein; BE IT RESOLVED, that this City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby declare its intention to order to be called and to call an election within said territory and hereby gives notice that such election will be held not less than fifty (50) days from the date of the adoption of this resolution for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors residing within said territory the question whether said territory shall be annexed to this City and after such annexation, be taxed equally with property within the present City of Lodi for the payment of bonds and interest thereon issued and outstanding at the date of the filing of said petition and at the date of said election. The territory described in said petition and in which the said election is to be held and which is herein proposed to be annexed to the City of Lodi is bounded and described as follows and for the purposes of said election and annexation, shall be designated "ELEVENTH ADDITION"; A portion of the SE 141. of Sect. 6, T3N, R7E bounded North by the north line of State Highway No. 24, Lodi to San Andreas, West by the center line running North and South through said section 6; South by the center line of Pope Avenue (East Pine Street extended) and East by a line drawn parallel to and 321.2 feet east- erly from the said center line of Section 6. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that this City Council does hereby designate WAY, the 18th day of October, 1939 at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.IN.. and the Council Chambers of this City Council as the time and place when and where owners of real property within said proposed district will be heard in objection to the annexation of the same to this city. Such objections must be in writing and may be filed at any time prior to the hour herein set for hearing. 0 The foregoing Resolution No. 1005 was regularly introduced, read and adopted at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi held on Friday, the 22nd day of Sept- ember, 1939 by the following vote: AYES : Councilmen, Graffigna, 1Neiho, Clark, Spooner and Steele.
