In response to Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals in the matter
Of the linprov ?ment of Waln tt Street , in the City of Lodi, which notice
was auly posted and published according to law, bids were received from
Clark & Henery Construction Company and Feai�ra1 Construction Compal. -3r.
After canvassing, the bids the following resolution wis introduced by
Trustcr; Crose:
R2SOLUTION OF AWARD.
WHE13EAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi, did, in
open session, on the 2nd day of Septeh.lber, A. 7). 1919, publicly open,
examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing certain
street work in said City, unifier and in pursu,.i.nce of the "Improvement
Act of 19111" .-i naTres, of the streets and highways proposed to be im—
proved and the location and character of said proposed work being de—
scrib,d in tyle Resolution of Intention No. 2'+, of said Board of Trus—
tees, adopted August 21st, A.D.1919, which Resolution of Intention is
hereby expressly referred to for further particulars.
RESOLVED, that the said Board of Trustees hereby reject all of
said proposals or bids except that next herein mentioned, and hereby aw
awards the contract for doing said work and improvel:2ent to the lowest
r< spolisibl:e bidder, to—wit; CLARK & HENERY CONSTRUCTIO[, COY�PAITY, at
the prices named in its bid.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to post Notice of this award
conspicuously for five days, on or near the Cour..cil Chamber door of
this Board of Trustees and also publish said notice three times in
"The Lodi Sentinel," a tri—`v'J'•'i:ly newspaper published and circulated
in sLi-,- City, and 'hereby designated for that purpose by said Board,

RESOLUTION FINDING DUE PUBLICATTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 107.
RESOLVED; That :it a.ppeah: in.o, to the satisfaction of this, the
Board of Trusters of the City of Lodi, County of :pan Joaquin, State of
cali.fornia, by tYh- affidavit of C. E. Percival, the principal Clerk of
the printer and publish�,.r of The. Lodi Sentinel, that Ordinance No. 107
has Dgen printed and published in The Lodi Sentinel, which is a news-
paper of b neral circulation, printed and published tri -weekly, in the
City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, for one time,
and in tike manner .required by law, in accordance 1uith the Resolution
of this, the Board of Trustees of the. City of .Lodi, which said resolu-
tion was duly passed and adopted at a duly and regular adjourned re�-,u—
lar m::e:ting of this Board of Trustees, held on the 25th day of August,
1919.;
BE IT FURTHKfi RESOLVED, That this, the Board of Trustees- of
the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, does
find, ,.,,nd it is hereby found as a fa.ct, that Ordinance No. 107, :has
been published for the time, and in the manner required by law;
BE IT 1rURTHEIE RESOLVED: That said ordinance No. 107 having
been finally pas.,iad by this, the Board of Trustees of thee said City
of Lodi, be, and the same hereby is, finally passed and approved by
this, the Board of Trustees of the City of Lotti, and the President
of this Board of Trustees be, and he hereby is, ordered and directed
to approve the same.
