HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - December 18, 1996 (84)'COUNCILCITY OF LODI • • AGENDA TITLE: Expansion of Information Superhighway Task Force MEETING DATE: December 18, 1996 SUBMITTED BY: Finance Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: It is the recommendation of the Task Force that Council approve the Information Superhighway Task Force to be changed from seven (7) appointed members to ten (10) members; and that these three additional appointments be filled by the following representative: 1. Pacific Bell Representative (to be announced) 2. City of Lodi, Electric Utility Representative (to be announced) 3. Community Representative (to be advertised) Further, that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the community representative. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Information Superhighway Task Force (ISTF) was formed in 1994. The Task Force's key mandate was to put Lodi on the Information Superhighway. The Task Force is currently comprised of seven (7) members from the community: John Forberg Member Deputy Director of Information Systems Contra Costa County Stan Helmle Chairperson Computer Systems Consultant Ken Jones Member Information Technology Director, Lodi Unified School District Stephen J. Mann Member Councilman Dave Tracewell Vice -Chairperson Contractor Mark White Secretary Information Systems Coordinator, City of Lodi Bill Haeffner Member Manager, King Videocable Co.
