RESOLUTION NO. 96-178
A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
APPROVING COMPENSATION AND BENEFIT ADJUSTMENTS FOR
MANAGEMENT AND MID -MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City Council to provide fair and equitable compensation to
employees for their services consistent with their qualifications, responsibilities and performance;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that Management and Mid -Management
employees should be compensated in a manner consistent with recent compensation adjustments;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized compensation adjustments for the Police Officer's
Bargaining Unit and Police Mid -Management employees of 3 1/2%, 3% and 3% effective October 7,
1996, October 6, 1997 and October 5, 1998 respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Lodi City Council that the following is
hereby approved:
1. Salary increases for unrepresented Management and Mid -Management employees (except
Police Mid -Management, Council Appointees and Fire Chief) of 3 1/2% effective December
30, 1996; 3% effective December 26, 1997, and 3% effective December 28, 1998. The
December 30, 1996 3 1/2% shall not be available to persons employed by Lodi after
October 1, 1996; and
2. Authorize vacation leave accrual of 3 weeks per year for the Fire Chief effective December
30, 1996; and
3. Increase compensation control point for Management Employees consistent with salary
increases authorized in Paragraph 1 above.

the City of Lodi in a special meeting held November 26, 1996, by the following vote:
