HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - September 18, 1996 (72)AGENDA TITLE: Resolution Designating the Mayor as Voting Delegate and Mayor Pro Tempore as Voting Alternate for Future League of California Cities and National League of Cities Annual Business Meetings MEETING DATE: September 18, 1996 PREPARED BY: City Clerk RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt a resolution designating the Mayor as Voting Delegate and the Mayor Pro Tempore as Voting Alternate for all future League of California Cities (LCC) and National League of Cities (NLC) annual business meetings. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: At the City Council meeting of August 17, 1996, Council directed the City Clerk to draft a resolution allowing for the designation of the Voting Delegate to routinely be the Mayor and the Voting Alternate to routinely be the Mayor Pro Tempore at the LCC and NLC annual business meetings. In the event the Mayor and/or the Mayor Pro Tempore does not attend the meeting, the Mayor shall make the selection of Voting Delegate and/or Voting Alternate. FUNDING: None required. cc: City Attorney APPROVED: 4 xon Flynn -- City 2J�nifer M Rerrin ity Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 96-138 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL DESIGNATING THE MAYOR AS VOTING DELEGATE AND MAYOR PRO TEMPORE AS VOTING ALTERNATE FOR FUTURE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES AND NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETINGS BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby designate the Mayor as voting delegate, and Mayor Pro Tempore as voting alternate for future League of California Cities and National League of Cities Annual Business meetings. FURTHER RESOLVED, that in the event that the Mayor and/or the Mayor Pro Tempore does not attend, the Mayor shall make the selection of the Voting Delegate and/or Voting Alternate.
