HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2009-166RESOLUTION NO. 2009-166 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL APPROVING A SIDE LETTER AMENDING THE 2008-2010 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF LODI AND AFSCME COUNCIL 57 LOCAL 146 -AFL-CIO MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS UNIT ------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------ BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby approve a Side Letter as shown on Exhibit A attached, amending the 2008-2010 Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Lodi and the AFSCME Council 57 Local 146 -AFL- CIO Maintenance and Operations Unit modifying Article XII (Tools and Uniform Allowance) to include the positions of Chief Wastewater Plant Operator and Wastewater Plant Operator I/II/Ill. Dated: November 18, 2009 hereby certify that Resolution No. 2009-166 was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in a regular meeting held November 18, 2009, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS— Hitchcock, Johnson, Katzakian, Mounce, and Mayor Hansen NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS — None ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS — None ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS—None NI E M. 4e' BISON ssistant City rk 2009-166 EXHIBIT A SIDE LETTER TO THE AFSCME COUNCIL 57 LOCAL 146 -AFL-CIO MAINTENANCE& OPERATIONS UNIT MOU Whereas, the City of Lodi and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (Maintenance and Operators Unit) are parties to a Memorandum of Understanding effective through December31, 2010; and Whereas, the parties desire to enter into this side letterto create a mechanism whereby the City of Lodi will provide all necessary uniforms to include a jacket, pants and shirts for two additional classifications: • Chief Wastewater Plant Operator • Wastewater Plant Operator 1/11/III. NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: ARTICLE XII —TOOLS AND UNIFORM ALLOWANCE Section 12.1 of the Memorandum of Understanding will be modified to include the positions of Chief Wastewater Plant Operator and Wastewater Plant Operator 1/II/111. This Side Letter shall not become effective until approved by the Lodi City Council.
