HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2008-134RESOLUTION NO. 2008-134 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING A MURAL TO BE LOCATED AT SECURITY SAFE LOCK & KEY SITE AT 209 SOUTH SACRAMENTO STREET, AND FURTHER APPROPRIATING $46,000 FROM THE ARTS IN PUBLIC PLACES FUND WHEREAS, on March 28, 2007, the Art Advisory Board approved funding in the amount of $75,000 for two murals by local artist Tony Segale; and WHEREAS, Mr. Segale has presented his artwork for the first mural, which will be located at Security Safe Lock & Key, 209 S. Sacramento Street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby approve the purchase of the first of two murals by artist Tony Segale, with the first to be located at the Security Safe Lock & Key site at 209 S. Sacramento Street; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council hereby appropriates $46,000 from the Arts in Public Places fund for the mural.
