C. and Mary Turnage, owners of sore than one-fourth of the area and representing in excess of one—fourth of the assessed valuation cf the tarrit?ry hereinafter described, requesting that said territroy, contiguous to this City and uninhabited within thn meaning of the act, be annexed to and nasals part C" the OM of Lodi, and whereas, this City Council finds that in order to retrtIate and control tre,q, secure the improvement cf the roadway and properly drain and dispose E' mato waters accumulating on and near the tract proposed for annexation, that a portion of West Lodi Avenue be also t*$ over, asnisxii to and made part or this City, and, the City Planning Commission of this City in regular meeting held on the 21st day of October, 1946 approved the annexation a8 petitioned and also the ir,M1usion of a part of West Lodi Avenue therewith, finding that the design of the subdivision included in said petition, the construction of the buildings thereon aaaa 4 the public improvements therein are not inferior to those required by the laws, ordinances and re.:ulations of this City, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Lodi, San Joaquin County, California, hereby expressed, to annex said territory to this City under proceedings to be had in accordance with the " Annexation of Uniskhe itPd Territory Act of 1939 " as amended.
