RESOLUTION NO. 126
RESOLUTION DECLARING TBE INTENTION 0 F THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI TO ANNEX CERTAIN
UNINHABITID TERRITORY TO SAID CITY
HESULVED that the City Council or the City of Lodi
hereby declares that the proceedings hereinafter mentioned
are hereby initiated by it, the said City Council, and that
the following described uninhabited territory in the County
or .ari Joaquin, 6tate or California is contiguous to the
City of Lodi and that it is the desire of said City council that
the same be annexed to this City for the following reasons:
(1) In order to extend sanitary services to lessees
and owners of the lands comprising said territory so that their
operat.'•.ons constibute no nuisance to the adjoining inhabitants
of Lod'_•.;
(2) To extend city fire protection services to
buildings now built or to be built therein; and so as to
prevent. spread of fire to properties now in the city;
(3) To furnish police protection to commercial and
industrial plants proposed to be erected therein, and thereby
to prevent spread of crime into the corporate limits of said city;
(!i) To contro1 the type, use and locations of buildings
to be Hereafter erected thereon so that no damage result to
properties in the vicinity thereof, or in said city.
RESOLVED, thevefore, that it is the intention of this
City ,-ouncii of the City of Lodi, county of San Joaquin, State
of California to annex said territory to the City of Lodi, under
proceed inks had in acc or'<9ance with the "Annexation of Uninhabited
'Territory Act of 1939", being Chapter 07 of the Statutes of 1939,
F'or the purposes hereof, said Territory is hereby designated "Sanguinetti
hddition" and shall be so described in the proceedings for
ar:nexati on and i n the ordinance approving said annexation.
said territory is bounded and dencribed as follows:
bounded hest by the west line (Dz' North Sacramento
Street, Forth by the south line of Turner (Wood bridge) Road,
East by the westerly line of the southern i'acific company main
line right-of-way, Niles to Ogden, bouth by the present city
limits of the City of Loci, being a portion of Lot h and all of
Lots 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14., 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 2j
of Block 1 Sanguinetti hddition according to the Official map
of said audition filed ipril 8, 1919 and recorded in Vol. 9 of
Maps at Pane 47, thereof, San Joaquin County Records.
IE IT FURTHER JLESOLVED, and notice is hereby given that
this City council has fixed WEDNESDAY, May 2, 19).1.5 at the hour of
8;O0 o'clock P.M., Pacific 'bar Time and the Council Chambers of
this City Council in the City Hall, Lodi, California as the
time and place where written objections or protests w i 11 be
recieve;.i anz; considered a;;ainst the annexation herein proposed.

this resolution by publication in "THE LODI TIMES", the official
newspaper of this City, at the time and in the manner provided
by law.
