PLAYGROUND DIRECTOR (ATELETIC SPECIALIST) Kind of 6ork: Direction of Playground or Play Center. Organization and fo?-mutation of teams and Athletic Leagues. Management of the Summer �ofthall League and other Municipal Athletics as directed. Care and maintenance of supplies and equipment of the Recreation Department. Aork i s outlined and planned by the Cirector of t(ecreation. Must show initiative in being able to produce a varied and fiexible program. Examples of vork: (Illustrative only). Must be present at all times when play area is open. Lust be able to interpret rules and regulations of games and settle any arguments in fairness to both parties. Ability to explain to young children, and to deal with the prohlems that arise on the playgrounds. ku3tt rc,ssess a high degree of skill in demonstrating various athletic skills to the visitors of the playground. Desirable Preparation: Experience and training equivalent to: =ractuation from a standard high School plus two years of Junior Col]ege or equivalent thereof. Experience in either amateur or professional athletic sports either as player or coach. A'iuet furnish character references.
