RESOLUTION NO. 1207
RESOLUTION 3RANTING TO SCUT TERN PACIFIC CO? PANY A
FIEVO::ABL} PE'RKIT TO CONSTHUCT ANC OPERATE AN AD-
DITIONAL TRACK ACROSS A PORTION ON' IAST TOKAY STREET
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lodi,
County of San Joaquin, State of California in regular meeting
this 5th day of July, 191.44 as follows:
FIRST - That the City of Lodi hereby grants to SOUTHERN
PACIFIC COMPANY, a corporation, so far as it lies within the
powers of the said City to grant the same, for such period and
length of time as shall meet with the pleasure of the City council
of said City, the right, privilege and permission to construct,
operate and maintain upon and across that portion of Easy Tokay
Street hereinafter described and as delineated in red upon that

certain drawln marked "Western v -s -on Drawing L-314., Sheet
No. 1, Revised' attached to the a plication of the said Southern
Pacific Company dated July 3, 1911., which drawing and which
application are made part of this resolution ea if set forth
in full therein, a railroad track of standard gauge together with
the right of operating thereon cars and other rolling stock
propelled by engines, motors or other lawful means of motive
power. The portion of said street over and across which said
right, privilege and permission is given is particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at a point oh the southerly line of East
Tokay Street, said point being westerly thereon a
distance of 195 feet, more or less from the inter-
section of the said southerly line of East Tokay
Street and the southerly prolongation of the westerly
line of Seaton Avenue; thence Northerly through a
Number 7 turnout to the right a distance of 65 feet,
more or less, to a point in the northerly line Of
East Tokay Street which is 183 feet, more or less
westerly thereon from the said westerly line of
Seaton Avenue.
S OCND ' The said track and all switches, turnouts
and other appurtenances thereto shall be laid level with the
street grade and shall be maihtained by the grantee herein in a
safe and traversable condition so as not to interfere with or
obstruct traffic along or over said street. The construction
work permitted herein shall be started within ten days from
the date hereof and shall be prosecuted with diligence to final
completion within a period of not exceeding thirty days thereafter.
THIRD ' This resolution shall take effect immediately.

Resolution No. 1207 of the City Council of the
City of Lodi as passed and adopted in said City
Council in regular meeting on the 5th day of July,
1914 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen, Coffield, \eche, Riggs, Tolliver & Rinn
NOES: Councilman, None
ABSENT: Councilmen, None
