RESOLUTION NO. 1195 RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULT OF ELECTION lHEREAS, a general municipal election was held and conducted in the City of Lodi on Tuesday the 11th day of April, 1944 as required by law, AID, WHEREAS, it appears, from the report of the City Clerk and the records on file in his office, that notice of said election was duly and legally given, that voting precincts were properly established, that election officers wore appointed and election supplies furnished, and that, in all respects said e1action was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat in the several precincts received and canvassed, and the returns thereof made, determined and declared in time, form and planner as required by the laws of the State providing for and regulating municipal, elections in cities of the fifth aad sixth class, AND, A'HE,REAS, this City Council of the City of Lodi meeting at the Council Chamber thereof on Tuesday, the 18th day of April, 1944 to count the absentee ballots and to canvass the returns of said election and to install the newly elected officers, finds as a result of said count and canvass that the number of votes cast, the names of the persons voted for, and other matters required by law to be as hereinafter stated, now therefore, IT IS HEREBY FOUND, DETERMINED AND DECLARED: That eaid regular municipal election was held and conducted in the City of Lodi, California, on Tuesday the lith day of April, 1944 in time, form and manner as required by law; That there were sl,x voting precincts established in said City for the purpose of holding said election, as follows: • CONSOTCTATED VOTING PRECINCT A, comprising state and county election precincts 1, 2 and 3 as established for holding state and county elections; CON.SCT,3T)AT'ED precincts 4, elections; CONSOLIDATID precincts 8, elections; CONSOLIDATID VOTING PRECINCT B, comprising state and county election 5, 6 and 7 as established for holding state and county VOTING PRECINCT C, comprising state and county election 9 and 18 as established for holding state and county VOTING PRECINCT D, comprising state and county election precincts 10, 11, 13 and 19 as established for holding state and county elections; CONSOLIDATED VOTING PRECINCT E, comprising state and county election precincts 12, 14 and 15 as established for holding state and county elections; CONSOLIDATED VOTING PRECINCT F, comprising state and county election precincts 16, 17 and 20 as established for holding state and county elections; That the whole number of ballots cast in said City of Lodi at said election was ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTEEN (.,1.17 ) That the names of the persons voted for, the offices for which they were voted, the number of votes received by each of said persons in each of said precincts, the measures voted on and the votes east in each precinct for and against the said measures, together with the whole number of votes received in the entire city by each of said persons and for and against said measures are as follows: The measures submitted to vote of the electors of said City at the said election were as follows: Proposition No. 1 - " Shall the City Council of the City of Lodi hereafrer appoint the City Clerk of said City ? E. RIGGS was re—alected a member of the City Council for a term of four (4) years from and after Tuesday, April 18, 1944 and until his successor shall have been elected and shall have qualified; HARRY J. TOLLIV.ER was elected a member of the City Council for a (4) years from and after Tuesday, April 18, 1944 and until his successor shall have been elected and shall have qualified; J. F. BLAKELY was elected City Clerk for a terns of four (4) years from and after Tuesday, April 18, 1944 and until his successor shall have been elected and shall have qualified; J. HAMILTON DAVIS was elected City Treasurer for a terse of four (4) years from and after Tuesday, April 18, 1944 and until his successor shall have been elected and shall have qualified. tenu of four 8E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that neither Proposition No. 1 or Proposition No 2 was adopted.
