RESOLUTION NO. 1156
WHEREAS increases in living costs occasioned by war
conditions have seriously affected all of the officers and
employees of this City, and,
WHEREAS the scale of salaries and/or wages now paid
by this city is below that prevailing in similar occupations
in this locality and is considerably less than is paid by other
cities in California during the present war emergency, and,
WHEREAS, this situation was carefully and fully
considered by this City Council at its meeting of March 17, 1914.3
and prior thereto, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that, in view of the foregoing, and
as a war measure only, the monthly salaries and/or wages of the
following named regular employees or officers of the City of
Lodi, Shall, from and after the effective date of this resolution
and for one year hereafter, be at the rates set forth herein,
subject however, to the approval, if such approval be found
necessary, of the Wage and Hour Livision of the United States
Department of Labor or of the U. 6. Treasury Department. The
names of the employees and/or officers of this city affected
hereby and the amounts to be paid each of them as salaries
and/or wages are as follows: (The said amounts to be so paid

Auto allowances heretofore granted shall continue in
effect. Overtime, when ordered and approved, shall be paid at
the rate or rates established before the eff'ective ate of this
resolution, that is to say. no part of the $255.00 increase
granted riere.n shall be considered in computing overtime,

The provisions of this Resolution shall be in force and
shall take effect on the first day of April, 1945 or upon its
approval by the proper authority of the United States Government.

passed and adopted in a regular meeting of
