RESOLUTION NO. 1151
WHEREAS, present war conditions and reduced personnel
in this City's police Department and the increased demands on
a 11 law enforcement agencies make it necessary that every
additional source of assistance be developed to its highest
efficiency, and,
WHEREAS, the installation of an additional two-way
portable radio transmitter and receiver in the automobile of
the Constable of h'lkhorn Township capable of being tuned in
to this City's municipal police radio Station K N G Y, w i 11
increase the efficiency of said Constable as well as make his
assistance available to the local police in times of emergency,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of San Joaquin
County, California, in which County this City and Elkhorn Township
are located, have requested that such radio service to be
extended to said Constable as is evidenced by a hesolution of
said Board of Supervisors adopted on the 15th day of r'ebruary,
19)+3, a copy of which hesolution is annexed hereto and made
part hereof, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL Or THE CITY CF
LODI, that the City Jnganeer be, and he is hereby authorized,
empowered and directed to apply to the he_
Communications
Commission for a modification of this City's present license so
as to permit the addition of an additional portable station
for the purpose above set forth.
