HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2071RESO LUT IQki NO. 2O71 W HEREAS, the crossing and underpass of Turner Road at the Southern Pacific main line tracks has created an obstruotion to the free flow of traffic; and W HEREAS, said underpass and crossing is now and for many years has been inadequats to servo the ve- hicular traffic that should use Turner Road thereby in- creasing the flow of traffic on other crossings of the Railroad within the City of Lodi; and W HEREAS, the construction of an interobangs on Highway 99 and Turner Road will increase the traffic floe on Turner Road; and W HEREAS, said Turner Road underpass and cross- ing are entirely inadequate to handle the present and fu- ture traffic flow of Varner Road; and W HEREAS, for many year. the citizens of Lodi and the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce have bean de- manding the construction of a proper and adequate under- pass at Turner Rad and said Railroad tracks; and W H S R E A 8, the City Council of the City of Lodi desires to construct an underpass at the above location and is willing to partioipats in its share of the costs in said construction; NOW, THRRRFORR, HR IT RESOLVED by the Cita Council of the Laity of LoAi that ft less ksnb7 mems (ts iRtantien and desire to proceed with the construction of the Turner Road. underpass and that it is willing, desirous, and able to participate in the Dost of construction of said underpass in an amount to be later dstaMminsd either by negotiation or by -1- order of the Public Utilities Commission. votes Passed end adopted December i}, 1957 by the following AIRS: FULL$R, HUC1HRS, KATZAKIAN, kITCHBLL and ROBINSON NOB8s Non* ABBENT $ RUNS This is to oartifythat the foregoing is a full, true, and correot oopy of Resolution No. 2071 duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi at its regu- lar meeting on Aeoeasber 4, 1957.
