AGENDA TITLE: Contract Award for Rock and Sand Material for Fiscal Year 1996/97 ($8,180)
MEETING DATE: June 19, 1996

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt the attached resolution awarding all three
items of the contract for rock and sand material for fiscal year 1996/97 as
follows, and appropriate funds in accordance with the recommendation
shown below.
Item 1. 100 tons/aggregate base FTG Construction Lodi $ 970
Item 2. 300 tons/concrete sand FTG Construction Lodi 3,234
Item 3. 250 tons/crushed rock Granite Construction Stockton 3,972
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This contract provides rock and sand materials for various street
maintenance projects carried on throughout the City during the fiscal
year.
Specifications for this project were approved on May 15, 1996. The City received two bids for the three
items for this project as shown on the attached bid tab.

RESOLUTION NO. 96-75
A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING THE BID FOR ROCK AND SAND MATERIAL FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1996/97
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of
this City Council sealed bids were received and publicly opened on May 30, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. for
Rock and Sand Material for Fiscal Year 1996/97, described in the specifications therefore
approved by the City Council on May 15, 1996 and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof
filed with the City Manager as follows:
Item A. 100 Tons/aggregate base
Item B. 300 Tons/concrete sand
Item C. 250 Tons/crushed rock

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends awarding all three items of the contract
for Rock and Sand Material for Fiscal Year 1996/97 as shown above; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of all
three items of the contract for Rock and Sand Material for Fiscal Year 1996/97, be and the same is
hereby awarded as shown above, in the amount of $8,180; and
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby approves appropriating $8,180.00
from the Street Maintenance Fund for this project.
