HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 1959In the City Council City of Lodi Lodi, California RESOLUTION NO. 1959 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEX- ATION OF THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "HOUSTON ADDITION" TO THE CITY OF LODI, AND CLASSIFYING SAID TERRITORY IN THE M INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT. WHEREAS, under the provisions of that certain Act of the leg- islature of the State of California entitled "Annexation of Unin- habited Territory Act of 1939", proceedings for the annexation to the City of Lodi of the territory hereinafter particularly described have been initiated by the filing of a petition for annexation to the City of Lodi of the territory hereinafter described by the owners of not less than one-fourth of the land, both by area and . assessed value, in said territory proposed to be annexed, and WHEREAS, the exterior boundaries of said territory described in said petition and which territory is contiguous to the limits of the City of Lodi, San Joaquin County, State of California, a re described as follows: A portion of the south half of Southwest Quarter of Section 6, T3N, R7E, M.D.B.&M., San Joaquin County and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the South line of said Sec- tion 6, 1303.$3 feet (79.02 rods), more or less, from the Southeast corner of said Quarter Section, which point is also a corner of the present boundary of the City of Lodi; thence easterly along said Section line 568.26 feet (34.44 rods) to a point, which point is 44.58 rods from said Southeast corner; thence northerly and parallel to the East line of said Quarter Section 1191.22 feet, more or less, to the north line of East Pine Street (formerly Pope Avenue), which line is also the present City boundary line; thence westerlyalong said north line and boundary line to its intersection with the East line of Lot 13 in.Live Oak Colony No. 1, Nap filed March 17, 1887, San 4MASin.Records, which point is also a corner of the pre- sent City boundary line; thence Southwesterly along said City boundary line across said East Pine Street (formerly Pope Ave.) to the Northeast cornerMf the West twenty- fire and eighty»sight one hundredths (25.4B) acre* of the Sout s w hist Qvartsr of the Southwest Quartoâś“ . of said Section 6, which corner is also a corner of the present City boundary line; thence southerly along said.
