RESOLUTION OF THE CITY' COUNCIL OF THE CITY 07
LODI GIVING NOTICE OF TRE PROPOSID SILTION
OF THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY DESIO..
HATED AS *TOKAY GUMS !EDITION" TO THE CITY
OF LODI
WHEREAS, under the provisions of that certain het of the
Legislature of the Stat• of California entitled "Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939", proceedings for the annexa-
tion to the City of Lodi of the territory hereinafter particu-
larly
articularly described have been initiated by the filing of a petition
for annexation to the City of Lodi of the territory hereinafter
described by the owners of not less than ono -fourth of .the land,
both by area and assessed value, in said territory proposed
to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the exterior boundaries of said territory described
in said petition and which territory is contiguous to the Baits
of the City of Lodi, an Jo.quin County, State of California,
are described as follows:
1 portion of the Northeast Quarter of Section 11, Town-
ship 3 North, Aaag. 6 last, Mount Diablo Base and Meri-
dian, and more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a corner of the present boundary
line of the City of Lodi, which point is 456.4 feet,
sore or less, southerly and 25 feet westerly from the
Northeast corner of said Northeast Quarter; theme
westerly along said City boundary line 932 feet, more
or leas, to a corner of said City boundary line; thence
southerly along said Clty boundary line a distance of
992.9 feet, more or less, to a corner of said City boundary;

thence westerly along said City boundary line 970 feet,
more or less, to the east line of Fairmont Avenue
(formerly Walnut Avenue); thence southerly along said
east line 715.7 feet, more or less, to a corner of said
City boundary line; thence easterly along said City
boundary line 970 feet, more or less, to a corner of
said City boundary line; thence southerly along said
City boundary line 480 feet, more or less, to a corner
of said City boundary line, which point is on the
south line of said Northeast Quarter; thence easterly
along said City boundary line and Quarter section line
932 feet, more or less, to a corner of said City boundary
lime, which point is 25 foot westerly from the Southeast
corner of said Northeast Quarter; thence northerly along
said City boundary line to the point of beginning, con-
taining 62.8 acres, more or less.
MU MAS, the aforesaid petition for annexation of the ter-
ritory hereinbefore described to the City of Lodi, a municipal
corporatieb, has been filed with and received by the Council of
the City of Lodi, and
10 BMS, less than twelve registered voters reside within
said territory thereby qualifying the territory for annexation
under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939, and
SAS, the San Joaquin County Boundary Commission has
approved the description of the proposed annexation as to
definiteness and certainty, now therefore,
BE IT BES0LYND, as follows:
1. That the City Council of the City of Lodi does by this
resolution give notice of such proposed annexation; does hereby
designate said territory as "Tokay Gardens Addition"; and, further,
does fix Wednesday, July 6, 1955, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock

p.m., at the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Lodi, California,
as the day, hour and place when and where any person owning real
property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and hav-
ing any objection to the proposed annexation may appear before the
City Council and show cause why such territory should not be so
annexed.
2. That the Clerk of the City of Lodi be, and he is here-
by directed to pause a copy of this resolution to be published
at least twice in the "Lodi dews -Sentinel", a newspaper printed,
published, and circulated in the City of Lodi, the municipal
corporation to which it is proposed to annex the hereinbefore
described territory, and at least twice in the "Stockton Record",
a newspaper printed, published, and circulated outside the City
of Lodi, all in the time, form and manner required by law.
3. That at any time not later than the hour set for hearing
objections to the proposed annexation, any owner of property
within the territory proposed to be annexed may file written pro-
test against the proposed annexation; that such protests shall
state the name or names of the owner or owners of the property
affected thereby and the description and area of such property
in general terms.

CERTIFIED to be a tall, true and correct copy of
Resolution No. 1869 of the City Council of the City
of Lodi and that the same was 'eased and adopted in
regular meeting of said City Council held Jane 1,
1955.
