HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 1808In the City Council City of Lodi Lodi, California RESOLUTION NO. 1808 UhDERING THE VACATIUN OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY LYING IN BLOCK 36, CITY OF LODI WHEREAS, this City Council, acting in accordance with the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and highways. Code of the State of California (The Street Vacation Act of 19.1), did on the 3rd day of March, 1954, pass and adopt Ordinance No. 507, therein declaring the intention of said City Council to vacate that portion of the alley lying in Block 36, City of Lodi, all as particularly described in said Ordinance, and WHEREAS, notice of said intended vacation was regularly given by publication and by posting, both in time, form and man- ner as required by law as is evidenced by affidavits on file and of record in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lodi, and WHEREAS, in accordance with the provision stated in said Ordinance No. 507 and also contained in the posted notices of the adoption of said Ordinance, notice was given that a public hear- ing would be held before said City Council in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Lodi, California beginning at 8:00 o'clock p.m. of Wednesday, April 7, 1954 where and when any person interested in or objecting to said alley vacation could appear and be heard in relation thereto, and WMALAS j dt that ti it and Pia�V, a PUD119 hVAC1119 WU 440 and conducted and testimony for and against said vacation was received, the City Council of the City of Lodi did determine that said alley was unnecessary for the present or future public use and did so find and declare, now therefore BE IT RESOLVED, that the following described alley is here- by ordered vacated, closed up and abandoned: That certain alley in Block 36 as said alley and block are designated on the Official Map and Plat of the Town of Mokelumne (now City of Lodi) filed August 25, 1869 in Vol. 2, page 12, Book of baps and Plats, San Joaquin County Records. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City of Lodi shall cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder as required by Section 8324 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. Cert,ified to be a full, true and correct copy of Resolution fio:. 1.908 as passed and -adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in regular meeting held April 7, 1954, all members present and voting for such adoption.
