WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly given, the Purchasing Agent of the City of Lodi did on the 29th day of December, 1953 regularly receive and open sealed bids for the furnish- ing of said City'aa requirements for gasoline for the calen- dar year 1954, said bids being as follows: NAME OF BIDDER PRICE PER GALLON REGULAR ETHYL Petroleum Products Co. $O.211 $0.222 Tokay Oil Company .21 .23 Signal Oil Company .2145 .2365 Shell Oil Company .2195 .2335 Seaside Oil Company .21$9 .2409 Richfield Oil Company .2219 .2439 Tidewater Associated Oil Co. .222 .244 AND, WHEREAS, the bid of Signal Oil Company as stated above is the lowest and best bid received, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that award of contract be made to Signal Oil Company and that the bids of all other bidders be and the same are hereby rejected. Adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi held January 6, 1954, all members of said City Council being present and voting for the adoption of this Resolution.
