A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL 0: THE CITY OF
LODI CONSENTING TO THE CO11- I1NCEi 1:;i`T OF AiNNEXATION
PROCEEDINGS FOR Til -IF ANNEXMON TO THE CITY OF LODI
OF CERTAIN INHABITED "ND UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY
IN `;'HE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF LORI DESIG'ATED xS
"SUNSET ADDITION"
4°+11F;FtL.xS, on July 1, 1853, a petition was presented to the
City Cau.icil of the City of Lodi requesting the Council to give
its consent to the conirr.encement of annexation proceedlriL;s in
connection with that certain inhabited territory therein referred
to and generally described, which is continuous to the City of
Lodi; and
WHLREAS, said petition was deferred to the Planning; Corruaissi.on
of the City of Lodi for investigation, report and recommendation;
and
Wi:j;ItEAS, the Planning Commission rendered its report and
recommendation to the Council on the 5th day of August, 1953,
favoring the cornmencernent of annexation proceedings; and
WEEREAS, the County :Boundary Corwaission of Sari Joaquin
County has heretofore approved the proposed boundary of said
Sunset Addition as to definiteness and certainty; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to give its
const,nt to the commencernent of such annexation proceedings..
NOV; Tiii'RE:FGRL, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Lodi:
Section 1. That consent be and hereby is granted for the
cornrnencernent of annexation proceedin s in connection with said
inhabited territory in accordance wi h the Annexation Act of 1913.
Section 2. That said unincorporated territory be and hereby
is designated as the "Sunset addition", is bounded generally as
follows: westerly of Fairmont Avenue, southerly of Lodi Avenue,
easterly of the southerly projection of Ham Lane, and northerly
of the southerly line of the Derald l„fag ers property in the County
of San Joaquin, State of California, and is described as follows:
A portion of the 11:ortr!east Cruarter• of Section, 11, Town-
ship 3 North, Range 6 East, I.,.ount Diablo Fuse and i--eri-

described as follows:
Beginning at a corner of the present City boundary
line, wh1ch corner is Llso the point of intersection
between the southline of West Lodi avenue and the west
line of the Northeast :,u.-rrter of said rection 11, and
running easterly along the City boundary line X38.22,
more or, less, to the northaiest corner of Lot 1 as said
lot is designated on rria:p entitled "Walnut Addirion",
filed 1',arch 1, 1920, in Vol. 9 at page 75, Book of Iclaps
and Plats, Dan Joaquin Co,,>nty Records; thence southerly
alor the City boundary line and the west line of said
Lot I a distance of 198.8 feet, more or less, to the
southwest corner of said Lot 1, which point is also a
corner of the City boundary line; thence easterly along
the south line of Lots 1, 2, and 3 of said Walnut Addi-
tion and its easterly projection, said line being also
a boundary line of the City of Lodi, a distance of 279.11
fe,:t, more or less, to its intersection with the east
line of Fairmount avenue, which line is also a boundary
line of said City; thence soutLerly along said east line
and C'-ty boundary line a distance of 922-49 feet; thence
westerly and parallel to the north line of said quarter
section a distance of 717.3 feet, :pore or less, to the
west line of said quarter section, which line is also
a City boundary line; thence norUherly alone, said west
line and City boundary line a distance of 1121.29 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning, containing
17.19 acres, more or less.
