HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 1727In the City Council City of Lodi Lodi, California RESOLUTION NO. 172.7 REJECTING BID FUR INSTALLATION OF SEWERS IN LOWE'S VILLAGE AND CENTURY MANOR SUB- DIVISIONS AND FINDING THAT INSTALLATION CAN BE MORE ECONOMICALLY PERFORMED BY DAY LABOR. WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened;by the City Clerk of this City on Mara 2, 1953 for installation of "SEWERS IN LOWE'S PILLAGE AND IN CENTURY MANOR SUBDIVISIONS, CITY OF LODI, CALIFORNIA, and WHEREAS, after tabulation and consideration of said sealed bids, the City Manager of this City recommends that the only bid received for the above installation be rejected as being in excess of rhe City Engineer's estimate and in excess of the cost of doing said work by day labor, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that the only bid received for the in- stallation of said swere pipe, that of William Burkhardt, is hereby rejected; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this City Council finds, determines, and declares that the work of installing said sewer pipe can be more economically performed by day labor, and hereby authorizes the City Manager to employ day labor necessary to per- form the installation os said sewer lines. CERTIFIED to be a true copy of Resolution No. 1724 of the City Council of the City of Lodi and that the same was passed in regular meeting of said City Council held March 4, 1953 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen, Pressler. Richey. Rinn. Robinson, and Haskell . NOES: Councilmen, None ABSENT: Councilmen, None
