RESOLUTION NO. 1718 RESOLUTION DETERMINING IN GENERAL THE NATURE, LOCATION, AND EXTETdT OF THE PROPCSrD IMPROVEIVT '$N' TO BE KNOWN AS SOUTH CHURCH STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT; FINDING THAT THE PROBABLE ASSESS,'v1ENTS WI ,L NOT EXCEED TIxE LIMITATIONS SEEP JP BY LAW AfdD DIRECTING THE CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE THEREOF PURSUANT TO SECTION 2950 ET. SEQ. OF '�4 S'TR ETS ea ND HIGHWAYS CODE. <�rhEREAS, a petition has heretofore been presented to the City Council of the Cit;; of Lodi signed Uy more than fifty percent of the owners of the property within the area described in said petition, requesting the formation of a li?htin, district to be known as the South Church Street T_i­htin� District, and the City Council is desirous of pro- ceeding under Section 7950 of the Streets and Highways Code - (being a portion of the Act entitled, "Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931")- NO7I, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby determine and find as follows: 1. That in general, the nature of said proposed improve- ment will be the construction of street light standards of steel shafts or tubes,either of the swaged joint design or tapered tubes, that will be sufficient size to provide street li,hting for the area hereinafter described. Reference is hereby made to the plans and specifications on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Lodi, which are open for inspection for a more complete description of said project and all particulars relative thereto. 2. For the boundaries of the district to be specially assessed to pay all of the costs of the proposed improvement, reference is hereby made to the Itiap on file in the office of the C'ler'k of the City of Lodi which indicates by boundary line the territory to be included in the assessment district and which plat shall govern all details as to the extent of the district. 3. That the law under which the proceedings are to be conducted will be the Improvement Act of 1911, Division 7, Sections 5000, et. seq. of the Streets and highways Code of the State of California. 5. Se it further resolved, that the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby find that the probable assessments to be levied for said improvements will not exceed the limitations set forth in Sections 2900, et. seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of :the State of California.. 6. Be it further resolved, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of these findings.,and o the proposed action in the manner and for the time provided by law.
