RESOLUTION NO. 1703
AUTHORIZ:i_NG THE ACCEPTANCE OF
AN EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES
FRONT THE ESTATE OF KAKI. TTA H. BEWLEY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Uity of Lodi is desirous
of obtaining a twenty five foot easement over and across property
belonging to the Estate of Niarrietta H. Bewley for the purpose of
installation and maintainence of certain water and sewer lines, and
WHEREAS, the Estate of Nlarrietta H. Bewley has indicated its
willingness to grant an easement for public utilities over and
across said property on condition that the Estate may in the future
connect to such utility lines, now therefore
1. BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lodi agrees to accept
an easement for the installation of sewer and water lines twenty-
five feet in width to be located in Orange Avenue produced southerly
from its present southerly termination as shown on the map of
Turnage Subdivision, filed September 14, 1952 in volume 11, page
119, Book of Maps and Plats, San Joaquin County Records.
2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Lodi will pay
all costs for removal of grapevines from said easement and will
pay for costs of installation of said utilities.
3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that when the Estate of
ivarrietta H. Bewley, or its successor in interest, requests
connections to said utility lines for the benefit of adjoining
lands, said Estate shall not be charged any of the costs of the
installation of said water or sewer lines.

of the City Council of the City of Lodi, adopted in
adjourned session held October 8, 19522
