HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 1691In the City Council, City of Lodi, Lodi, California RESOLUTION NU. 1691 GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF LODI aa OF THE TIME AND PLACE FOR THE HEARING OF PROTESTS AGAINST SUCH ANNEXATION WHEREAS, a verified petition for the annexation of uninhabited territory in San Joaquin County to the City of Lodi, hereinafter described, was presented to the City Council of said City by the owners of a1J, said territory, said territory being particularly described as follows: A portion of the Northwest Quarter (NW4) of Section Thirteen (13), Township three (3) forth, flange six(6) East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, and more par- ticularly described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the West line of the Southern Pacific Railroad, with the Section line between Sections Twelve (12) and Thirteen (13), Town- ship Three (3) North, Range Six (o) East, ii,ount Diablo Base and Meridian, and running thence West along said Section line, 12.92 chains; thence South 4° 43' West 24.08 chains; thence East parallel with said Section line between Sections 12 and 13, 12.08 chains to the West line of said Southern Pacific Railroad to the point of beginning, and containing 30 acres, more or less. Together with a strip of land twenty-five (25) feet in width (North one-half of Kettlernan Lane) laying between the above description and the South line of the present City Limit Line of the City of Lodi. The boundaries of said territory have been approved by the County Boundary Commission of San Joaquin County as`to their definiteness and certainty. The City Planning Commission of the City of Lodi has certified to the City Council of said City that the improve- ments in said territory are not inferior to those required by the laws, ordinances and regulations of the City of Lodi. RESOLVED, therefore, that said territory be designated "LOWE'S ADDITION" as an appropriate name to be used in reference to said territory further in these proceedings; RESOLVED, further, and notice is hereby given, that this City Council has fixed WEDNESDAY, the 1st DAY OF OCTOBER, 1952 at $:00 o'clock of said day and THE CITY COUNCIL CHAYABERS, CITY HALL, LODI, CALIFORNIA as the time and place when and where protests of owners of real property within the boundaries of the territory proposed for annexation will be heard and considered. Attention is directed to Section 35312 of the Government Code of the State of California relative to protests. RESOLVED, further, that a copy of this Resolution be published once a week for two weeks in the Lodi News -Sentinel and in the Stockton Daily Evening Record as required by Section 35311 of the Government Code of this State. I, HENRY A.
