GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION
OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF LORI AND OF
THE TIME AND PLACE FOR THE HEARING OF
PROTESTS AGAINST SUCH ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, a verified petition for the annexation
of uninhabited territory in San Joaquin County to the
City of Lodi, hereinafter described, was presented to
the City Council of said City on May 15, 1952 together
with the certificate of the City Clerk that said
petition was signed by not less than one-fourth of the
owners of land, both by area and by assessed value in
the territory proposed for annexation, said territory
being particularly described as follows:
A portion of the Northeast One Quarter of Sec-
tion 11, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, M.D.B. & M.
Beginning at a point on the South line
of West Lodi Avenue (Sargent Road, Nine Hundred
Fifty-seven (957) feet West of the East line
of Section 11, Township 3 North, Range 6 East,
and on the present boundary line of the City
of Lodi and running thence West on and along
said South line and said City Boundary Line
Six hundred Eighteen {61S) feet t4 4 point
thereon that is Five (5) feet North of the
Northeast corner of Lot One (1) of "Turnage
Subdivision", map filed September 14, 1946, in
Vol. 11, page 119, Book of '`laps and Plats, San
Joaquin County Records; thence 3 0° 35if E along

the East line of Turnage Subdivision Three
Hundred Seventy-four and Eight Tenths (374.8)
feet to the South line of said subdivision;
thence West along said South line Three Hundred
Forty-three and Nine Tenths (343.9) feet to the
East line of South Fairmont Avenue (formerly
Walnut Avenue); thence S 0° 42' E on and along
the East line of South Fairmont Avenue Nine
Hundred Twenty-four and Four Hundred Ninety-
five Thousandths (924.495) feet to a point that
is Thirty (30) feet East of a point Seventy-one
and Thirty-two Hundredths (71.32) rods North
and Forty-one and Eighty Hundredths (41.80) rods
East of the center of Section 11, T3N, R6E; thence
East Nine Hundred Sixty-nine and Twenty-four
Hundredths (969.24) feet along the South line
of the 2.66 acre tract of Cecil B. Clancy to
the South east corner of said tract; thence
North One Thousand Four Hundred Forty-nine and
Two-Hundred lainety-five Thousandths (1,449. 95)
feet along the lands of sit Clancy and S. W.
Allison to the South line of West Lodi Avenue
(Sargent Road) and the point of beginning,
containing 28.11 acres, more or less, exclusive
of streets and roads.
The boundaries of said territory have been
approved by the County Boundary Commission of San
Joaquin County as to their definiteness and certainty.
The City Planning Commission of the City of Lodi
has certified to the City Council of said City that the
improvements in said territory are not inferior to those
required by the laws, ordinances and regulations of the
City of Lodi

RESOLVED, therefore, that said territory be
designated "43rd ADDITION, LANDS BORDERING WEST LODI
AVENUE AND SOUTH FAIRMONT AVENUE" as an appropriate
name to be used in reference to said territory further
in these proceedings;
RESOLVED, further, and notice is hereby given,
that this City Council has fixed WEDNESDAY' the
16th DAY OF JULY, 1952 at 8:00 o'clock of said day and
THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, LODI, CALIFORNIA
as the time and place when and where protests of owners
of real property within the boundaries of the territory
proposed for annexation will be heard and considered.
Attention is directed to'Section 35312 of the Govern-
ment Code of the State of California relative to
pretests.
RESOLVED, further, that a copy of this Resolution
be published once a week for two weeks in the LODI TIMES
and in the STOCKTON DAILY EVENING RECORD as required by
Section 35311 of the Government Code of this State.
I, HENRY A. GLAVES, JR., City Clerk of the City
of Lodi and ex -officio Clerk of the City
Council of said City, do hereby certify that
the fora!oing is a full, true and correct
copy of Resolution No. 1681 of the City
Council of the City of Lodi as regularily
introduced, passed and adopted in regular
meeting held June 18, 1952, by the following
vote:
AYES: Councilmen, $inn, Robinson, Ridley,
PreiRmler
NOES: Councilmen, _Ilan.
ABSENT: Councilmen
