HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 1652In the City Council City of Lodi Lodi, California RESOLUTION NO. 1652 GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF LODI AND OF THE TIME AND PLACE FOR THE HEARING OF PROTESTS AGAINST SUCH ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, a verified petition for the annexation of unin- habited territory in San Joaquin County to the City of Lodi, hereinafter described, was presented to the City Council of said City on January 16, 1952, together with the certificate of the City Clerk that said petition was signed by not less than one-fourth of the owners of land, both by area and by assessed value in the territory proposed for annexation, said territory being particularly described as follows: Commencing on the present boundary line of the City of Lodi at the intersection of the presently existing west line of Cherokee Lane (State Highway 4) and the north line of Kettleman Lane (State Highway 53), and running thence Southerly on and along said west line of Cherokee Lane one thousand two hundred five (1205) feet, more or less, to a point on the same distant three hundred (300) feet South of the south line of Lot Two (2) in A. J. Larson's Subdivision of the Northeast One Quarter of Section 13, Township 3 North, Range 6 East; thence Westerly, parallel to the south line of said Lot 2, two hundred (200) feet; thence Northerly, parallel to the west line of Chero- kee Lane, three hundred (300) feet to the south line of said Lot 2; thence Westerly on and along said south line seven hundred forty-five (745) feet, more or less, (1) to the southwest corner of said Lot 2; thence Northerly on and along the west lines of Lots 1 and 2 of said A. J. Larson's Subdivision and their northerly extension nine hundred five (905) feet, more or less, to the southerly boundary line of the City of Lodi (which boundary line is also the north line of Kettleman Lane); thence Easterly on and along said boundary line nine hundred forty-five (945) feet, more or less, to its intersection with the west line of Cherokee Lane and the point of beginning, containing 19.6 acres, more or less. The boundaries of said territory have been approved by the County Boundary Commission of San Joaquin County as to their definiteness and certainty. The City Planning Commission of the City of Lodi has certified to the City Council of said City that the improve- ments in said territory are not inferior to those required by the laws, ordinances and regulations of the City of Lodi. RESOLVED, therefore, that said territory be designated "42ND ADDITION, SOUTH OF LODI BARNHART TRACT AND WEST OF CHERO- KEE LANE" as an appropriate name to be used in reference to said territory further in these proceedings; RESOLVED, further, and notice is hereby given, that this City Council has fixed WEDNESDAY, the 20TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1952, at $:00 o'clock p.m. of said day and the CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, LODI, CALIFORNIA, as the time and place when and where protests of owners of real property within the boundaries of the territory proposed for annexation will be heard and considered. Attehtion is directed to Section 35312 of the Government Code of the State of California relative to protests. (2) RESOLVED, further, that a copy of this Resolution be published once a week for two weeks in THE LODI TIMES and in the STOCKTON DAILY EVENING RECORD as required by Section 35311 of the Government Code of this State. x e Adopted in regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi held January 16, 1952, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Haskell, Preszler, Rinn and Tolliver NOES: Councilmen, None ABSENT: Councilman Bull January 17, 1952 Attest: (3) J.
