RESOLUTION NO. 160$
DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LODI TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNIN-
HABITED TERRITORY IN SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, IN
LOTS 47 AND 48, MAP OF LAWRENCE HOMESTEAD
ADDITION, TO SAID CITY; SETTING A TIME AND
PLACE FOTHE HEARING OF OBJECTIONS TO SAID
ANNEXATION AND DESIGNATING THE TERRITORY
PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AS "FORTY-FIRST
ADDITION"
RESOLVED, that it is the intention of the City Council of
the City of Lodi, hereby expressed, to annex to said City of Lodi,
in accordance with proceedings had pursuant to the provisions of
the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as amended,
the following described and bounded uninhabited territory in
San Joaquin County, California, contiguous to said City, to wit:
PORTIONS OF LOTS 47 AND 48, LAWRENCE HOMESTEAD ADDITION,
MAP FILED APRIL 5, 1920, IN BOOK OF MAPS AND PLATS, VOL.
10, PAGE 5, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY RECORDS AND OF LOCKEFORD
ROAD ABUTTING THEREON: BEGINNING ON THE SOUTH LINE OF
LOCKEFORD ROAD AT A POINT ON THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LINE
OF THE CITY OF LODI WHERE SAID SOUTH LINE IS INTERSECTED
BY THE SOUTHERLY PROLONGATION OF THE WEST LINE OF SAID
LOT 47; THENCE NORTH 0° 29' EAST, FOLLOWING SAID CITY
BOUNDARY LINE AND THE SAID WEST LINE AND ITS SOUTHERLY
PROLONGATION TO A POINT 300 FEET FROM THE NORTH LINE OF
LOCKEFORD ROAD; THENCE SOUTH 85° 27' EAST 607.33 FEET
TO A POINT IN SAID LOT 48; THENCE SOUTH 0° 29' WEST
300 FEET TO A POINT ON THE WORTH LINE OF LOCKEFORD ROAD;
THENCE CONTINUING SOUTH 0° 29' WEST ACROSS LOCKEFORD
ROAD TO A POINT ON THE SOUTH LINE THEREOF AND ON THE

PRESENT CITY BOUNDARY LINE; THENCE NORTH 85° 27' WEST
ON AND ALONG SAID SOUTH LINE 607.33 FEET TO THE POINT
OF BEGINNING, CONTAINING 4.17 ACRES, MORE OR LESS,
EXCLUSIVE OF THE PUBLIC ROAD.
Reference is here made to a map or plat on file in the office
of the City Clerk of this City delineating the boundaries next
above described.
The City Planning Commission of the City of Lodi finds that
there are no improvements or public improvements in this territory
inferior to those required by the laws, ordinances and regulations
of the City of Lodi.
The City Council of the City of Lodi hereby designates the
territory herein proposed for annexation "FORTY-FIRST ADDITION"
as an appropriate name to be used in reference thereto further in
these proceedings.
These proceedings are initiated by the petition of more than
one-fourth of the owners of real property in said territory both by
area and by assessed value.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that this
City Council has fixed WEDNESDAY THE I6TH DAY OF MAY, 1951, AT
8:30 O'CLOCK P.M. OF SAID DAY AND THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY
HALL, LODI, CALIFORNIA, AS THE TIME AND PLACE WHEN AND WHERE OB-
JECTIONS OF OWNERS OF REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED WILL BE HEARD AND CONSIDERED.
Attention is directed to Section 35312 of the Government Code of
the State of California relative to protests.
The City Clerk will cause a copy of this resolution to be
published for two consecutive weeks in The Lodi Times, a weekly
newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of Lodi
and hereby designated for this purpose.
