RESOLUTION NO. 1588
SALARY AND WAGE ADJUSTMENT 1951-52;
WHEREAS since the.adoption of Resolution No. 1586 on
January 17, 1951 more information as to salaries and wages
have been made available, and,
WHEREAS, there is an apparent increase in the cost of
living index published by the Federal Bureau of Labor Statis-
tics which increase, based on a median salary or wage of
$280.00 according to the schedule established in Resolution
No. 1531 adopted June 21, 1950 would amount to approximately
40, and,
WHEREAS, this City Council estimates that an additional
i of 1% will provide increases sufficient to equal the cost
of living index up to 1.86 points or to June 30, 1951,
therefore,
RESOLVED, that a flat increase based on about 5% of the
median salary or wage above mentioned be allowed each regular
employee of the Cit ofr ',f6 of median salary being
here found to be 410Dthe salary or wage which said employees
now receive. Thi nerease shall ales apply to all heads of
the various departments of the City.
Said increase shall apply to part-time employees and
those paid on an hourly basin in the same porportion as
the same applies to full-time employees.
The police radio service moan and the part-time Sanitary
Engineer are to be considered independent contractors and
not subject to the provisions of this Resolution.
Adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Lodi held February 7,1951, all City Councilmen
being present and voting in avor of the adoption of
this Resolution.
