RESOLUTION NO. 1116.
DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LODI TO ANNEX LOT 9 OF GERARD TRACT;
SETTING A DATE FOR THE HEARING OF OBJECTIONS TO
SUCH ANNEXATION AND DESIGNATING THE TERRITORY
TO BE Avrn ii AS "M.F.AYERS ADDITION NO. 1"
WHEREAS, On the 21dt day of November, 1949, Melber F. Ayers,
owner of Lot 9, Gerard Tract, did petition this City Council that
said Lot be annexed to the City of Lodi under proceedings to be had
in accordance with the provisions of the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939", and
WHEREAS, Said petition was presented to the City Punning
Commission in regular meeting held November 21, 1919, and said City
Planning Commission did, at said meeting, approve the annexation of
this territory and recommend to the City Council of this City that
said territory be annexed, and
WHEREAS, Said territory is contiguous to the City of Lodi and
is uninhabited, no persona residing; therein, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That it is the intention of this City Council
of the City of Lodi, hereby expressed, to annex said territory to
said City in accordance with proceeding to be had conforming to the
provisions of the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939"
designating said territory, for the purposes hereof as "M.F. AYERS
ADDITION NO. 1" as an appropriate name therefor; said territory is
bounded and described as follows: Lot Nine (9) as said Lot is
delineated and so designated on the official map of GERARD TRACT,
filed August 8, 1916 in Book of Maps, Vol. 8, Page 62, San Joaquin
County Records, bounded West by Woodiake Tract, North by Southern
Pacific Company's Woodbridge Branch right-of-way, East by the West
line of Lot 10, Gerard Tract and South by the center line of Lake
Street.
3E IT FURrn RESOLVED* And hereby ordered, and notice is
hereby given, that this City Council has fixed WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21,
19490 at 8:00 o'clock p.m, of said day and the CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS,
CITY HALL, L0t)t, CALIFORNIA, ae the tire and place When and where
written protests or objections to the annexation proposed herein will
be received, read and considered. Attention is dtreeted to Section
35312 of the Government Code of this State relating to protests
against annexation.
The City Clerk will cause a copy of this Resolution to be
published for two consecutive issues In The Lodi Times, a weakly news-
paper printed and published in this City and hereby designated for
this purpose.

certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 1496 was regularly
introduced,passed and adopted by the City Council of said
City in regular meeting held on DeaeMber 7, 1919, by the
following vote:
